The MOU was signed on 18th September, 2008 in Mumbai between Mr. Dinesh Sadasivan, Executive Director & CEO, IESL and Mr. Pradeep Chapalgaonkar, Sector Head, KBL in the presence of Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and MD, KBL, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Vice Chairman and MD, Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. This was followed by a ceremonial launch function in the evening wherein customers and consultants were invited to raise a toast for the joining of hands between IESL & KBL.

Kochi has been facing water crisis for quite sometime.
